She was born March 3, 1935 in Litchfield, KY to Earnest W. and Mary (Quiggins) Glasscock. She married James T. Hamilton on August 15, 1953.
Mary worked for Beichs Candy company until her retirement. She was a past president and held numerous positions with the Candy Confectionary and Tobacco Union and was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include her daughters: Nena Hamilton of Minonk, Anita (John) Williamson of Normal; grandchildren: Jon Ernst, Dustin (Nikki) Kistner, Jenifer Ernst, Jedadia (Jessica Ward) Becker, Austin Kistner, Jesica Milton; and three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild with two on the way; sister: Norma (Elmer) Well of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside service will be 1pm Thursday September 4, 2014 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
