Jill became a licensed registered nurse after graduating from Nursing School from IVCC in 1976, along with her lifelong friend, June Kraske George.
After graduation from nursing school, she divorced and relocated to Bloomington in 1977. Jill went on to have a successful career working as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital and later at Planned Parenthood for many years before retiring to spend winters at the home in California.
Jill married Norm Jennings on February 2, 1981, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage before Norm passed in the fall of 2023. She then relocated to Carriage Crossing Assisted Living in Bloomington.
She is survived by her children, Brad (Zidzielia) Hagi of Bloomington, Betsy Harrison of Normal, Rodney Jennings of Laguna Hills, California, Mark Jennings of West Bend, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren, Uriel of Mexico City, Mexico, Caitlin of Wapella, Steven of Normal, Tara of Irvine, California, and Megan and Allison, both of West Bend, Wisconsin; and two cousins, Pam Hills of Champaign and Amy Butler of Savoy.
