I am so sorry for your loss. I know Nappy is with our Lord. He was a wonderful man, and also a wonderful brother to my mother (Martha Weed Mann). I always remembered how Nappy loved working on lawn mowers. He will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him!

Gene and I are so sorry for Melvin"s passing. We know you will miss him terribly. Dick, our heart breaks for you and wish you comfort knowing you got to spend alot of time with him after you retired. Prayers for all. Everytime I go by his house always have to look and see if he is outside.

My fondest memory of Nappy comes from when I was a child growing up on Darrah Street.  He would visit my family and we would all play penny ante poker for hours on a Saturday night.  My mother (Melvin's sister) Martha Weed Mann would fry chicken for everyone.  We will miss him.

There are very few people in the world that are easily admirable. My grandfather was one of those people. He had the kindest of all hearts and an enormous amount of love for his family. He will be missed by many. But remembered forever. Grandpa; You get to finish spending your forever with grandma now. RIP

What I remember most about grandpa was our Easter egg hunts. Every year he would help fill eggs with candy and money. I remember him standing at the starting line yelling "ready...set...go!". We would all race to gather as many eggs as we could. After the hunt was over we would all sit on his living room floor and go through the eggs we gathered. We would count how much money we found. As little time as that took, he enjoyed it and smiled from ear to ear. I remember the good ole' days. Mom would drop us off at grandma's and grandpa's house before school started, and they always had Gilligan's Island playing on the t.v. I will surely miss you grandpa. I hope your smiling from Heaven with Grandma by your side. I will see you one day. You will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always loved.

Easter egg hunts is what I remember most about grandpa. He loved to watch us all gather the eggs and share how much money we found in them. Whether it lasted one minute or 30 minutes, he would smile ear to ear. He would say, "On your mark...get set...go!" and we would all race around his back yard as fast as we could. I will truly miss him. It's unfortunate I cannot attend his funeral, but please know I wanted to be there. Grandpa you will be forever missed....never forgotten..and always loved.
