

He was born July 13, 1933 in Low Point, IL to Ernest and Ferne (Able) Broers. He married Evelyn Biddle and she passed away Jan. 20, 2008 in Bloomington. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Broers and one granddaughter, Cassidy Broers.
Survivors include three daughters: Penny (Martin) Jauregui of Mexico, Jenny (Gary) Broers-Gregg of Colorado, Wendy (Tim) Margherio of Normal, two sons: Glenn (Mary Anne) Broers of North Carolina, Brian Broers of Atlanta, IL, six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and two brothers: Richard (Lucile) Broers of Roanoke, and Deryl (Valerie) Broers of Illinois.
Mil was an Army Veteran. He taught Social Studies and coached basketball at Roanoke-Benson Junior High School. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved basketball, and had a great sense of humor.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Friday Sep. 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens following the services with Military Rites.
Memorials may be made to the Disable American Veterans Association.
