Norma Jean Wolf, 90, of Minonk and formerly of Bloomington and Canton, passed away Wednesday, March 21st at 6:20 a.m. at her home. She was born April 15, 1927, the daughter of Milan and Myrtle Mosher Painter. She married Donald Wolf on April 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2002.
Norma was a beautiful person who truly loved God and walked the walk to its fullest. She was committed to her family and was diligent in praying for each and every one of them on a daily basis as she did her daily Bible devotions. Watching the grandkids play and have fun was when she was the happiest. She cherished her last four and a half years back in the country looking at the trees, clouds, and cornfields. She was loved by so many and will be missed deeply.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Lin (Owen Dratler) Wolf of Virginia, Illinois; and Carol (Terry) Renfrow of Minonk; a son Donald, Jr. (Mary) Wolf of Punta Gorda, Florida; eight grandchildren, Wendy (T.J.) Sapp of Florida; Christopher (Kori) Kobel of Bloomington; Shawn (Vicki) Kobel of Carlock; Michelle Banning of Indiana; Matthew (Bonnie) Wolf of Ohio; Joshua (fiancée Katie Scullion) Wolf of Ohio; Malinda (Jon) Peters of Lexington; and Mike (Rachel) Renfrow of Waynesville. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, Starr Mandell; Kristopher and Joshua Schumann; Katie and Ben Kobel; Emily, Olivia, Charlie, and Natalie Kobel; Drew, Jenna, and Cole Banning; Taylor and Ryne Wolf; Brittany (Jeffrey) Henderson; Brooklyn Peters; Kelsey Renfrow; Josie (Nate) Tallent-Meyer; and Lucas and Lindsey Renfrow; four great great grandchildren, Tallon, Autumn, Leighton, and Lillian Henderson; and nine nieces and nephews, Judy Painter McGregor; David Painter; Cindy, Andy, and Tony Painter; Warren Wolf; Donna Jo Wolf; Debbie Shaw; and Susan Simmerman. The family also wishes to recognize Norma’s very special friend and caregiver, Shirley Sutter.
In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Howard and Albert Painter.
