Norman Melton

Norman was born July 31, 1934, in Bloomington, the son of Paul Kenneth and Dorothy Mae (Thompson) Melton.

Surviving is his brother, Ron (Connie) Melton of Bloomington; a nephew, Darin Melton of East Point, GA; a niece, Heather (Alex) Melton Carter of Colmenar, Spain; an ex-wife, Ida Melton; and step-children, Rita, Doug, and Tom. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Norman retired from Funk Seeds Corporation after working for over 35 years. He also worked at the Bank of Illinois for ten years. He served in the United States Navy. He was an avid Cubs, Bulls, and Bears fan.

He will be dearly missed for the person he was and his funny sense of humor.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
