

He was born February 19, 1929 in Lane, IL, son of John William and Nina Harriet White Cox. He married Marcella C. Alsene on August 9, 1953.
Surviving are one daughter, Penny (Kenneth) Harmeyer of Honolulu, HI; two grandchildren, Kordon Harmeyer of HI and Peri (De’Andre) Holloway of CO and three great-grandchildren, Nei’Lea, Dajha and Ke’Andra Holloway. Also surviving are one sister-in-law, Helen Cox of Chebanse and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Eras. He was stationed at Elison AFBase in Alaska, Otis AF Base in Massachusetts, McCellan AF Base in California, Yokota AF Base in Japan and retired from Los Angeles AF Base in California after 21 years as a Technical Sergeant. He received many accommodations and certificates for his inventions through the military for improvements and designs used for military aircrafts.
He also enjoyed mechanics, wood working and gardening.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
