

Paul was born April 26, 1925 in Carlock, IL to Walter and Leta Gingerich Kaufman; they preceded him in death. He married Virginia J. Barker June 21, 1949; she preceded him in death in1993. He later married Louise Hafer July 18, 2002; she survives.
Also surviving are 3 children, Judy (Gary) Beall, Deer Creek, John (Barb) Kaufman, Melbourne, FL, and Debbie (Jeff) Lade, Bloomington; 2 step sons, Chris (Kathy) Hafer, Soldotna, AK and Joe (Alyce) Hafer, Sibley; grandchildren, Molly, Will, and Christina; step grandchildren, Sophie, Brian, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Kenisha, Aleena, Maya, Campbell, and Hudson; and a sister, Mary Dodson, Lexington

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, November 8, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be held prior to services from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Paul farmed his entire life, primarily in the Lexington and Gridley areas. He was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church, Sibley for many years. He enjoyed the Bellflower Opry and was a member of the Sunshine Kitchen Band, where he played the guitoliet.
