

He was born November 24, 1924 in Pearl, IL, son of Beatrice V. Wheeler Lacy. He married Mary Ann Blair on July 27, 1949 in Hartford, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Gary (Shelly) Lacy of Bloomington; one daughter, Linda (David) Aman of Clarksville, TN; two granddaughters, Colleen (Joshua) Boehm of Fort Riley, KS and Shauna Lacy of Bloomington and two great-granddaughters, Shannon and Evie Boehm.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dean worked over 40 years with GM & O and IC Railroads, where he was a draftsman and later a supervisor, retiring in 1984. After his retirement with the railroad, he worked for 14 years as a bus driver for Unit 5.
He was a Red Cross volunteer, played Senior’s Golf, was a member of the Central Illinois Radio Club and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Dean and his wife formerly attended University Christian Church in Normal.
There will be no services or visitation. Inurnment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington.
