He was Born May 10, 1930, in Bloomington, IL to the late Edith and Herman Prochnow. He married his loving wife Maxine Berry on June 19, 1959 in Bloomington, Illinois.
God gave them three children Dee Ann, Todd and Jeff; and five grandchildren and three great-grand children.
He received his education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. He was a preacher of the gospel for over 50 years and was honored by Bob Jones University with the Doctor of Divinity degree and held pastorates in Illinois and Florida from 1957-2004.
He retired from Berea Baptist Church, Palm Harbor, Florida after a 23 year ministry. He had a beautiful voice and was a member of the Jubilaires the quartet ministered in many churches and camps as well as a six month ministry in Europe.
He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. A visitation will be held 10am Saturday, March 23, at East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Road in Bloomington, Illinois.

Memorials may be given to Bob Jones University and the mission program at Grace Independent Baptist Church in honor of Dr.Prochnow. A memorial service will be held in Brooksville, Florida at a later date.
