Robert Alan Voisinet Jr.

Robert A. Voisinet Jr., 83, of Bloomington, IL, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. He was born June 30, 1940 in Kansas City, MO, to Robert Voisinet Sr. and Marjorie (Ashley) Voisinet.

Robert went to high school at Iola, Kansas High School. Following graduation, he attended Kansas State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He married his love, Brenda Wells Taylor on June 20, 1989. Robert proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and after his return from service, he became a Project Manager for Caterpillar, working for many years prior to his retirement in 2001. After retiring he was known for spending his time on the golf course and traveling. Robert never met a stranger. When walking his furry companion, Cooper, he became known as “The Mayor of Our Neighborhood’. He will be fondly remembered for his sincere interest in everyone he encountered.

Surviving are his loving wife of 34 years: Brenda Voisinet; children, Steven (Hollee) Voisinet of Austin, TX, Greg (Katie) Taylor of El Paso, IL; grandchildren, Gavin, Keegan, Sydney; brother, John (Patrice) Voisinet of Palm Desert, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Robert Sr. and Marjorie Voisinet; and brother, Edward Voisinet.

Arrangements and cremation rites have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL. A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at East Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Military Honors and inurnment will take place in spring 2024 at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.
