Robert W. Wendt, 78, of Bloomington, IL and formerly of St. Charles, IL passed away October 18, 2021. He was born July 14, 1943 to Walter and Elizabeth (Crowe) Wendt in Chicago. He proudly served our country as First Lieutenant in the 68th MP Co 5th of the United States Army. He graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in History, Political Science and Military Science and also completed additional Graduate studies towards a Master of Public Administration from Roosevelt University.
Cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home. Military rites and a private family burial ceremony will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Health Bloomington, Alzheimer’s Association or Parkinson’s Foundation.
