Robin Glenn Lawrence, 61, of Bloomington was called home to be with our heavenly father on June 30, 2015 at 3:30am. He was born December 24, 1953 in Bloomington to Robert Glenn Lawrence and Marilyn (Thomas) Lawrence. He married Janice Stahl on December 17, 1982 and they had two sons together. He is survived by his sons, Luke and wife Carrie Lawrence and Matthew and wife Melissa Lawrence. He is also survived by his father Robert G. Lawrence and brother Jay Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Lawrence and sister Sharon Lawrence.
A lifelong Bloomington resident, Robin was a concrete finisher for Rowe Construction. He belonged to the Church of Christ in Bloomington. Robin’s passions were for his old ’53 and ’55 Chevy’s that he and his son loved to work on together. He loved fishing on the weekends.
Visitation will take place Sunday evening, July 5, from 5-8pm at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd., Bloomington. The service will take place Monday July 6, also at east Lawn Funeral Home, at 2pm in the afternoon. Memorials can be made to Matt Lawrence, 4 S. Spencer Ct., Danvers, IL 61732.
