

Ron was born July 10, 1938 in Fairbury, Illinois, to Clarence and Eulah Lee. He was married to June Cockrell of Bloomington on March 26, 1977. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage until she passed in 2020. Ron is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by June, his parents, and sister Norma.
Ron’s life was full of love for his family and then for his beloved Cubs baseball team. He was happiest when watching the Cubs win and keeping track of stats and where the Cubs were in the standings every year. There were many friendly feuds with family and friends that had the nerve to cheer for the Cardinals. Ron worked at Eureka Company for 35 years and made some very special life-long friends from there.
There will be no public services. A private family memorial was held in Ron’s memory. Entombment was at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bloomington. To honor Ron and June’s deep love of all animals here on God’s earth, donations may be made to a local animal shelter in their names. Ron was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
