Roy Miller

Roy was born December 23, 1922 in Bloomington to Van and Belle Higgs Miller. He married Betty J. Wood April 7, 1946. She preceded him in death in 2002.

Roy is also preceded in death by 2 sisters, 4 brothers, 1 son, Charlie Miller and 1 son-in-law, Ron Allen.

Surviving are 4 children, Janet (Rick Petersen) Ethington, Bloomington, Gary (Connie) Miller, Bloomington, JoEllyn Allen, Bloomington, Cheryl (Rod) Hayes, Hurst, TX; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter on the way; 1 brother, Bus Miller, Michigan.

Roy was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bloomington Moose Lodge, the Eagles and the Heyworth VFW. Most recently, he enjoyed working at the car wash and was employed in maintenance at Unit 5 School District.

Funeral services will be held 11:30am Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at East Lawn Funeral Home; visitation will be an hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
