Scott Matthew Larson

He was born on October 20, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. Scott was the son of Harvey and Jean Larson.

Scott loved the outdoors; he enjoyed spending as much time outside as he could. When you didn’t see Scott outside you would probably find him inside reading; he was an avid reader. He was very proud of his military career, serving in the United States Marine Corp.

He loved to travel and tried to take trips several times a year. He would quite often just get a ticket and go, with no specific plan in mind. He looked forward to trying new foods during his travels. He had returned from a trip to Jamaica quite recently.

Scott is survived by his son, Dane Larson, brother, Thom (Mary) Larson, sister, Amy Larson, niece, Francezz, nephew, Sydney, and a host of extended family and friends. Scott will be missed by all that knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Services honoring Scott’s life will be held at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd Bloomington, Illinois 61704 on November 8, 2025. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, with memorial service to follow at 11AM.
