Susan Kaye Hinthorn

She was born February 14, 1948 in Bloomington to Robert J. and Alpha J. (Oesch) Sweeney. She graduate from Holy Trinity High School’s last graduating class of 1966.

Susan worked as a medical records transcriptionist for almost 40 years at Brokaw and Mennonite Hospital. She loved to read and watch TV, and spend time with her beloved dog squirt who passed away earlier this year.

Survivors include her son: Mark (Kathy) Davis of Pekin; grandchildren: Christopher and Jessica Davis; mother: Alpha J. Sweeney of Bloomington; siblings: William Patrick Sweeney of Bloomington, Robert Michael (Trevia) Sweeney of Shirley, Timothy M. Sweeney of Bloomington, Vicki (Morris) Sunkel of Bloomington, Mary Kerry ( Kevin) O’Connor of Lemont; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; two siblings: Christopher Francis Sweeney and Kathryn “Katie” Sweeney.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm Tuesday October 7, 2014 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd. Bloomington, Il 61704. Memorial Service will be at 7pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois 423 N Kays Dr, Normal, IL 61761.
