

T. Faye Oliver, 89, of Normal, IL, passed away at home surrounded by family Friday, October 30, 2015. She was born May 29, 1926 to Frank and Lila Klein in Lexington, IL. She married Wilbur “Bud” Oliver January 16, 1949 in Lexington under an arch on the family farm. She worked for State Farm, Caterpillar, as a telephone operator in Bloomington, and at People’s Bank, now Commerce Bank, as a vault lock box handler. But her truest career was that of a homemaker, mother and wife. Faye was all about family. She loved to clean, care for her home, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved flowers. She had a very giving, gracious spirit. In her youth she and her husband enjoyed dancing and going to the movies. As the matriarch of her family, the Family Dinner and gathering was most important.
Faye is survived by her husband Wilbur “Bud” Oliver; daughters Deb (Bob) Strong and Carol Robinson; grandchildren Sarah Youskevtch, Cheryl Williamson, Ryan Youskevtch, Zack Hursh, Matthew Catenacci, Angela (Judd) Fink, Cody (Taylor) Robinson, Tony (Katie) Catenacci, and Alyssa (Cordy) Stepp; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers Ben (Lois) Klein and Ron (Nancy) Klein.
A visitation will take place at East Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd at 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held the next day, Nov.4th at 11am also at East Lawn Funeral Home. There will be an entombment at the mausoleum of East Lawn Memorial Gardens immediately following services.
