Thomas L. Gee, 72, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2023 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1950 in Bloomington to Elton and Helen (Walka) Gee. Growing up, Thomas went to Octavia High School and later graduated with an Associate’s degree from Lincoln Junior College.
In 1977, Thomas married Shirley Bogner. He later married Marcia Laub on September 1, 1990. She preceded him in passing in 1997. Thomas was a carpenter for the majority of his life, and loved going bowling (especially at the bowling alley his parents owned, Octavia Bowl), golfing, and playing baseball.
He is survived by his daughter: Erin (John) Foster of OH; grandchildren: Heidi and Tabitha Foster of OH; brother: William (Bonnie) Gee of Lexington, IL; Uncle: Warren (Miriam) Walka of FL; Cousin: Mary (Bill) Harris of MO; nephews: Ted (Carol) Gee, Thad (Betsey) Gee, and Tyler Gee of Bloomington, IL; and his long-time companion: Darlene Wills of AR.
He is also preceded in passing by his parents; and cousins: Shirley Dill, and Jeannie Daugherty.
A funeral service will be officiated by Kevin Summers at 11:00 a.m. on October 11, 2023 at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Following service, a luncheon will be provided. Cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stanford Church of God or Cross Pointe Church of God.
