

She was born December 3, 1931 in Bloomington, daughter of A.T. and Nellie M. Buchholz.
Ginny graduated from University High School in 1949 and began working as a stenographer at State Farm where she met the love of her life, Don Kedrick MacPhail. They married on May 6, 1951, following a three-month, three-day courtship and enjoyed 62 years together before Don's passing on April 5, 2013.
In 1972, following a 20-year hiatus to raise their four children, Ginny returned to work at State Farm, retiring in 1987. After traveling in their RV for two years, they bought a home at Sugar Mill Country Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL, where they enjoyed 18 wonderful years before their return to Bloomington in early 2008. Ginny enjoyed her role as a homemaker, PTA president and den mother. Her hobbies included ballroom dancing, playing golf, gin rummy and playing games on her iPad.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Surviving are four children, Michael (Helaine) MacPhail of Kingman, AZ, Danial (Sondra Rankin) MacPhail of Kevil, KY and Nancy (James) Lauher and Kris (Todd Huddleston) MacPhail, both of Bloomington; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Per Ginny's request, there will be a private graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. East Lawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
