W. Jane Farmer

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, McLean, IL. She was born in Kenney, IL, daughter of Emery and Margaret Linton Mears. She married Richard Eugene Farmer on November 23, 1957 in LeRoy. He passed away January 24, 1983.

Surviving are daughters, Christine (William) Toovey, Normal, IL.; Judith (Timothy) Huebner, Antioch, IL.; Janet (Robert) Ragland, Atlanta, IL,; and Jodie (Kelly) Farmer-West, Mahtomedi, MN; grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Aaron) Speed, Scott (Brittany Audino) Toovey, Craig Toovey, Becca and Sarah Huebner; Kristin (Nick) Agos, Amanda (Colt) Capperrune, Jessica Ragland, Noah and Ryan West; great-grandchildren Noah and Allison Jane Agos; Mattie Jane and Aaron Speed III; sister-in-law Mary “Cat” Mears, brother-in-law Gerald (Carol) Milton, and loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her parents Emery and Margaret Mears, brother Robert Mears; sisters Edith Milton, Thelma Williams, Patricia Evans; brothers-in-law Jim Evans and Kenneth Williams, and granddaughter Jillian Toovey.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. After retirement from State Farm, Jane was an active volunteer for RSVP, OSF St. Joseph Hospital, and McLean County Museum of History. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, McLean United Methodist Church, and the Woman’s Club of Bloomington/Normal. She enjoyed her family, meeting with many friends (mostly eating out), and traveling. Her home was always open to friends and relatives.
