

Wayne Niepagen, 79, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:17p.m. on February 18, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Bloomington.
He was born January 9, 1932 in Bloomington, the son of Albert and Edith Higgs Niepagen. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korea conflict. After returning home he married Elma Jean Conder. She preceded him in death December 15, 2007.
He was also preceded in death by two sons Albert and Jeffery Niepagen, one grandson Benjamin Mulvaney and his parents.
Wayne is survived by one daughter Beverly Mulvaney, one ; Richard Damon, one sister; Carol Jewett, one grandson; Richard E. Damon, one granddaughter; Richelle J. Delgado and three great grandchildren.
He owned and operated Wayne and Jean Niepagen Family Florist for many years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Bloomington Moose Lodge, VFW Post 454 and The American Legion. He was also a member of The Bloomington Bible Church. He was also an avid Cubs Fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Friday February 25, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Visitation will take place two hours prior also at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately following services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington. East Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
