I remember the first time I met Al. It was at his home at a party the night before Mark and Amanda's wedding. He made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. Then Al and Nancy came to Minnesota to our wedding. Then the Thanksgiving! Oh what fun we all had!! His love for friends and family was transparent through his jokes and his love of fun. He will be greatly missed and his memories will live on. "Be more like Al." I think it's safe to say that Jesus would like this saying and we are personally adding this to our mantra going forward. Our condolences to Nancy, Jeff, Mark, and their families.

Al and we have been neighbors nearly 60 years, since we have retired these last few years we have spent many a afternoon sitting under Al's apple tree in his back yard talking about the topic of the day and watching the apples grow. When we see the apple tree we will have our memory of Al giving us his wisdom of the topic of the day and how big the apples have grown. R.I.P.

Al was my father-in-law but I called him "Papa Al"! He was full of laughter and had a love for life. Everyday was an adventure to him. He always looked at the glass half full! I was so honored to have him walk me down the aisle on my wedding day 5 yrs ago . Also, I thank him for making me feel so welcome and loved in his family and for raising such a wonderful son, my husband Mark.
