Annetta "Bernice" Powers

Annetta “Bernice” Powers, age 68, of Bloomington, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born March 23, 1950 in Monroe County, the daughter of Robert Ramsey Kee and Martha (Robinson) Kee. Bernice worked at Garden Villa in Bloomington as the Director of Medical Records. She attended Great Harvest Ministry and enjoyed yards sales, auction sales and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernice is survived by her loving family; her husband, Dennis Powers, of Bloomington; two daughters, Kim Kent, of Bloomington and Kathy Kent (wife, Shaunte McCool-Kent), of Indianapolis, one son, Robert Joseph Gilbert, of Bloomington, one brother, Robert Kee, of Ellettsville, eight grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother (Martha (Robinson) Kee Porter, one son, Douglas Steven Gilbert and one brother, Jack Kee. The funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike.
