Beatrice “Bea” (Smith) Magner, 96, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was born October 21, 1921 in Burkesville, KY the daughter of the late John and Leoma (Shaw) Smith. Bea was a member of Apostolic Bible Church. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch waiving and saying hello to friends. She also enjoyed yard sales, going to church, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Bea is survived by her five grandchildren, Terry Frye-Velazquez, Lana K. Miller and her husband Randy, Ronnie L. Edwards, Pamala S. Schulz and her husband Thomas, and Beth A. Frye and her husband Jeremy Boden; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall Capps and her second husband, Lavern Magner; two daughters, Annamarie Capps Johnson and Pansy Lou Capps Frye; and eleven siblings, Cordell, Luther, Ace, Fine, Faris, and Oscar Smith, Norma Mae Tweety, Lela Garrett, Minnie Gilbert, Mary McCloskey, and Ada Gilbert. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Apostolic Bible Church, 3291 S. Walnut Street Pike, officiated by Brother Beecham and Brother Dwayne Coffman. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel.
