Burtal Burt Vernon Owings

Burtal V. "Burt" Owings, 86, Of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Monday September 20 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born to the late Oscar and Darvel (Eads) Owings on March 25, 1924 in Monroe County, Indiana.

He was a retired salesman for many companies in his life.

He is survived by a sister and her companion; Sarah S. Garner and Lowell Pryor of Indianapolis, one Brother; Boyd Owings of Bloomington, a niece and her husband; Kristi and Rick Wyatt of Indianapolis. He also is survived by several other Nieces and Nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 Sisters; Beulah Shields and Bernice Owings and an infant Brother.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel on Thursday September 23 from 4 to 8 PM. His service will be Friday at 1 PM at the Mortuary with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating.
