OBITUARY
Charles Alexander Datsko
July 14, 1949 – August 24, 2019
Charles A. Datsko, 70, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2019, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born on July 14, 1949 in Rochester, NY. He is the beloved son of the late John and Katherine (nee Makosy) Datsko; cherished Father to Carrie (Tony) and Barbara (Brian) and late son Charles II; dedicated Grandfather to Ryan (nee Taneka) and Dustin(Brittany); dear Great grandfather to Connor, Noah, Cora, Clara, and Callie; loving brother to John (Maria), Susan (Jerry), George (Brenda), and Stephanie (Ron); and a special uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Charles is an honorable veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a 31 year retiree from General Motors in Bedford. Charles, or "Chuck" as everyone called him, lived his life exactly the way he wanted and family was always his top priority. Although we mourn his passing, we will celebrate and cherish our fond memories of him. Grandpa will be missed.
Memorial and viewing services will be held on August 30, 2019, from 11a.m.-1 p.m., at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 West Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. Funeral services to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Bloomington Blades Hockey Program in memory of Grandpa Chuck. Envelopes will be provided by the funeral home or donations can be made to: Bloomington Blades Youth Hockey Association, P.O. Box 2381
