Born in Bakersfield, Missouri, December 13, 1928 to Sarah Ann (Fore) Cooper and Arthur Daniel Cooper. She graduated from Stinesville High School and worked at RCA in Bloomington, Indiana, for 42 years. She enjoyed working in the yard, growing flowers, quilting, and sewing. Most of all she loved to travel. She attended church in Ellettsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald Szatkowski, Sr.; her son Donald Szatkowski, Jr.; siblings Paul Cooper (Ruby); Nick Cooper (Billy); Louis Gene Cooper; Dorothy Wilbur (Albert); and grandson Bryan Szatkowski.
She is survived by son Daniel Szatkowski (Flora); daughter-in-law Deb Szatkowski; grandchildren Matt Szatkowski of Texas, Sarah Forgeng (David) of North Carolina, and Steven Szatkowski of Virginia. She was the proud great-grandmother of Claire Szatkowski, Megan Szatkowski, and Emma Forgeng; and she had several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Valhalla Memory Gardens, 310 N Johnson Ave, Bloomington. Arrangements are under the direction of Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel.
The family would like to extend a special Thanks to ALL of the employees of Springhill Village for the exceptional care shown to Daisy, and an extra special thanks to Kim. They also want to thank the staff of Kindred Hospice for the care Daisy received.
