Daniel Kent Mikulich

Daniel Mikulich, a.k.a. “MikGyver”, died tragically in a tractor accident in Owen County on October 22, 2017. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Nick Mikulich and Bonnie Overton on August 5, 1980. He was 37 years old.

Daniel spent most of his adult life in Owen County, graduating from Bloomington High School North in 1998. He was a mechanic, fabricator, and heavy equipment operator, working for the Southside Landfill in Indianapolis.

Daniel was an avid designer and fabricator. He also enjoyed motorcycles and cycling. He loved cast iron and campfire cooking and was an lifelong fisherman. Daniel was a selfless man, always helping people in trouble and in need.

He leaves behind his greatest love, his daughter Georgia Mikulich, his parents; Nick Mikulich and Bonnie Overton, his brother and sister-in-law John and Heather Mikulich, his sister and brother-in-law Krista Mikulich and Michael Flikkie. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call on the family on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. and on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, Indiana 47404. Fr. Kurt Messick officiating.
