Daniel "Dano" Morris

Daniel “Dano” W. Morris, 57 of Bloomington, IN passed away Monday April 18, 2016 surrounded by his family at IU Hospice House. He was born on November 16, 1958 in Monroe County, the son of Henry & Irma (Higgins) Morris.

Danny worked for GE for over 20 years and is a Retired US Army Veteran. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, Burton Woolery Post 18, Amvets Post 2000, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1085, Moose Lodge 1081 and an active supporter of the Highland Lounge. Danny mostly enjoyed watching M.A.S.H, NASCAR and spending time with friends and family. Dano’s one of a kind personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife Beth Ann Morris; the mother of his children Wyanetta Johnson (Dave Masters); a son, Justin Lee (Gena) Morris; a daughter, Sybrina Marie (Mike) McIntosh; three step children, Kevin Carter, James Richardson and Geri Ann Richardson; four brothers, Henry “Andy” Morris Sr. (Terri), Mealie Mack Morris, Eric B. Morris (Nicole), Mack E Morris and a half brother, Jerry Meyer of Orlando, FL; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ginger Morris; and a brother, Terry Morris.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W Goulrey Pike, with Chaplain Tim Jeffers officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Military Honors given by the Monroe County Honor Guard. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held at Amvets Post 2000, 5227 W Airport Rd, immediately following the ceremony. If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions to IU Hospice House, C/O I.U.
