Survivors include his mother, Virginia Mae Wood Cox; three brothers, Ronald Ray Cox and wife Sissy of FL, Terry L. Cox of Bloomington and Dennis L. Cox and wife Cindy of Spencer; two sisters, Teresa Ann Kolinek and husband Louis of Bloomington and Rhonda Lois Dennis and husband William of Utah; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father.
David attended Healing Waters Church. He also enjoyed the freedom he got from being able to drive his own car and would often take unplanned trips stopping frequently to ask directions. His hobbies included going to flea markets, garage sales, anything to do with country music, playing bingo on Thursday night at McDonald’s, and he enjoyed the company of the family pet, Patches.
