

Dorothy Mae Trulock, age 89, of Bloomington, died Monday at her daughter’s residence in Bloomington. Born January 6, 1923 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Clyde H. Cox, Sr. and Mary J. (Gibbs) Cox. Before retirement she worked as a very proficient secretary in both a school setting and in a legal office setting. She loved singing and sang in various choirs, including Trinity Episcopal Church Choir and the Sweet Adelines. In addition to singing, she was an avid reader, liked to sew, enjoyed playing dominoes, and working puzzles of all sorts, especially crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Paul Burt, of Bloomington; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark E. Trulock and Jan Meyer, of Chicago; four grandchildren, Dustin Nickell, Kristin Nickell, Ashley Nickell and Mary Burt; three great-grandchildren, Jalen Michel Cody, Dominic Andrew Cody and Cameron Matthew Cody; five nieces and their husbands, Sandy and Steve Kern, Jeanine Gill Muncie, Anita Cox Marshall and Glenn Marshall, Nancy and Rex Stockton and Becky Trulock Carver and “Carv” Carver; and seven nephews and their wives, Bob and Donna Thomas, Greg and Joyce Gill, John Cox, James Cox, Chris Cox, John H. and Regan Trulock and Jim Trulock.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth E. Trulock, in 1998, one sister, Celina Gill and one brother, Clyde H. Cox, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at the home of Dee Burt following the service at the church.
