Edward Samuel Scott

Edward Samuel Scott of Bloomington, passed away on July 16, 2015 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Olive Hollars, his son Gary Lee Scott and his son-in-law Garrett Burkhart. He is survived by his daughter Sandra(husband Alan)Deckard of Baltimore, MD; daughter Beverly Burkhart of Ft. Worth, TX; grandson Brian Deckard of Baltimore, MD; grandson Geoff Burkhart of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter Laura(Deckard)Sande of Baltimore, MD; grandson John Burkhart of Ft. Worth, TX; cousin Betty Beam of Bloomington, IN and niece Judy(Hollars)Cochran of Bloomington, IN

Edward served in the US Army in World War II. He was employed by Indiana University as a plumber, retiring in 1984 as plumbing shop foreman. Ed was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. As a young man, Ed played the fiddle in a traveling country and western band. In his later years he loved to travel, bowl and garden. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Valhalla Memory Gardens at 10:00 a.m. with the military honors by the Monroe County Honor Guard. Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W.
