
Geraldine Montana Lester, age 81, of Bloomington, died Saturday at the I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital from natural causes. Born April 18, 1930 in Great Falls, Montana, she was the daughter of Charley Cornelius and Violet Pearl (Buxton) Murphy. After high school she worked at the Great Falls Tribune newspaper. It was in Great Falls where she met her husband, Cecil Lester. They later moved to Bloomington where she went to work at R.C.A. She loved growing things in her garden, family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her five sons and their wives; Raymond Lester, of Bloomington, Cecil and Gail Lester, of Carmel, Indiana, Charlie and Joanna Lester, of Plainfield, Jerry Lester, of Bloomington and Dale Lester and Kim Huffines-Lester, of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Alex, Mick, Zachariah and Lauren; one sister, Rosetta Vice, of Great Falls, Montana and a special niece, Cookie Mariccola, of Sparks, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1995, three sisters and two brothers.
There are no services or visitation planned at this time.
