Haviland Andrew Gredy

Born on January 27, 1964, in Columbus, Indiana, Andy was a proud graduate of Brown County High School, class of 1982, and went on to pursue further education at Ivy Tech Community College. Throughout his life, Andy was known for his strong work ethic, curiosity, and kind heart. He recently earned his HVAC certificate, a testament to his lifelong dedication to learning and personal growth. He worked as a maintenance technician for over 30 years and took great pride in his job.

Andy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved spending time in nature. He enjoyed riding his ATV, working with his electric train collection, and playing computer games. His sense of adventure touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. There was also a special place in his heart for his cats, Bonnie and Lilly.

Andy is survived by his long term, beloved partner and significant other, Theresa Novicki of 41 years, his parents, Jim and Lois Gredy, his sister, Susan Wiseman (David), nephew, Jon Wiseman, niece, Meghan Wiseman (Jaylon), many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his aunt, Patricia Madzy and his uncle, Tim Gredy.

A memorial will be held to honor Andy’s life at a future date. The family asks that you take a moment to enjoy a walk in nature, donate to the Brown County Humane Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
