
James Edward Ingle, 84, of Ellettsville, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was born September 9, 1931 in Bedford, Indiana the son of the late Gerald Clyde Ingle and Harriett (Neideffer) Ingle.
James had a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, Rose Polytechnic Institute, 1953. He was a Project engineer, then chief engineer marine division Maxon Construction Company, Tell City, Indiana, 1956-1966. Manager manufacturing division, chief engineer marine division Maxon Marine Industries (formerly Maxon Construction Company), 1966-1974. Mechanical specialist, then project engineer Kerr-McGee Corporation, Oklahoma City, 1974-1978.
Manager marine engineering and construction Transworld Drilling Company division Kerr-McGee Corporation, 1978-1981, general manager marine engineering and construction, 1981-1990, vice president engineering, 1990-1991. Founder, principal engineer Chief Executive Officer/Engineering Group, Ellettsville, Indiana, since 1991. He had several Patents, emergency over-fill assembly, dump truck, side-dump vehicle body, concrete material distribution machine, mining apparatus, elastic mooring for offshore vessels, systems for moving drilling modules to fixed platforms, and many others.
He was a 1st lieutenant United States Army, 1954-1956.
James is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carole Lee Ingle, his son, Jerry Ingle; his two daughters, Jackie and Jamie; and many other beloved family members.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m, Friday, February 12, 2016 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Tunnelton Cemetery in Tunnelton, IN. Vistation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike in Bloomington, IN.
