She is survived by her loving partner, Mike Frye of Greene County; her son, Les (Lori) Frye of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Xander Frye, Leia Frye, and Carmen “Jean” Frye; two granddogs, Ruby and Finn Frye; her brother Mike (Karen) Harper of Bloomington; a niece, Jackie Skeen of Bedford; a nephew, Michael Lee Harper of Springville; and her very loving cousin, Belinda Johnson. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Harper and Evelyn M. Harper.
Jean was known for being a hard worker. Among Jean’s many professions she worked over the years, she was employed at Raytheon at NWSC. She was all about her grandchildren. For Jean, it was family above all else. Her hobbies included taking pride in organizing the family the reunion, being there for her family in times of need, and playing cards with her brother, Mike (who she often caught cheating). Jean made many friends during her stay at Hearthstone Health Campus. The family appreciates these friends for keeping Jean company. They would especially like to thank Dave and Evelyn Stevens of Bloomington for their friendship.
A visitation will be held at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary (700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404) on Monday, September 12th 2022, from 5pm-7pm. A graveside service will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens on Tuesday, September 13th at 10am with the assistance of Don Frye. The family would also like to thank everyone at the funeral home for their help.
