He is survived by his beloved daughter Elizabeth “Lizzie” Halstead; his brothers, Geoffrey (Cheryl) Owen and Wesley (Tammy) Owen; two nephews; and one niece. He is preceded in death by his parents.
John loved to fish, hunt, and was a big fan of Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was very outspoken, had a heart of gold, and appreciated life’s simple pleasures. Above all else though, he was dedicated to his daughter.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary (700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404) from 2-6pm.
