Karen "Sue" Baxter
January 6, 1943 – September 10, 2018
Karen “Sue” Baxter. 75, of Bloomington went home to heaven on Monday, September 10, 2018. She was born January 6, 1943 in Bloomington to William Jasper Davis and Agnes Amanda Blair Davis. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, John (wife Tonya) Baxter of Frankfort, IN; a daughter, Jan (husband Tracy) Taylor of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Rachel (Don) Fuller, Rebecca Ruschau, Danielle Fuller and Meagan (Ryan)Fuller; seven great grandchildren, Merissa, Annabelle, Grant, Jacob, Cailyn, Brantley and Levi; two brothers, Jim (Mary) Davis and Paul (Sonda) Davis; two sisters, Laila (Don) Arnold-Rissler and Eva (Faron) Livingston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Jack Leo Baxter; a grandson, Sean Ruschau; and a sister in law, Linda Davis.
Sue was a longtime member of First Church of God where she had been the treasurer and taught Sunday School. She was very close to her family and had babysit for several of her nieces and nephews, and had worked as a beautician for a while. She and Jack enjoyed camping and had traveled to many places across the country.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the House of Prayer, Ellettsville, 4100 N Hartstrait Rd, with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating; burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 17, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Green & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike and 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
