

Larry Stephen Lucas, age 58, of Bloomington, died Monday morning at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born February 27, 1953 in Bloomington, he was the son of Freddie and Patty (Chandler) Lucas. He was employed by Rose and Walker Siding since 1999. He was employed by R.C.A. for 27 years. He served 21 years in the Indiana National Guard where he received numerous certifications. He also was certified in S.C.U.B.A. He had trained and received a degree from Vincennes University in Tractor/Trailer Operations. He lived and loved especially for his grandchildren and his job at Rose and Walker.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Koreenia “Korky” and Rich Calvin, of Spencer; his son and his fiancé, Stephen Lucas and “Kat” McClain, of Bloomington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric and Judy Lucas and Gary and Ann Lucas, all of Bloomington; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Tony Hudson, of Palestine, Illinois; five grandchildren, Sheldon England and Trinity, Tristan, Emily and Tyler Calvin, one great-grandchild, Ayla Bland, his companion, Diana Worman, of Bloomington and his special friends, Brenda and Dave Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Bro. Darin Bowlen officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
