

Margaret Marie Alexander Eads, 88, of Bloomington, IN passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. She was born March 12, 1923 in Bloomington, IN the daughter of the late Herbert W. Alexander and Delia (Nally) Alexander.
Margaret was a member of Clear Creek Christian Church. While living in California she was a housekeeper at Thunderbird Country Club and was assigned to President Gerald Ford’s personal quarters. She was a former Grand Champion of the Monroe County Fair, Bake It With Strawberries Contest. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Dianne Petro and Margaret “Peggy” May (Paul); her son, Ernest Jack Eads, Jr. (Terry); brother, Clarence Alexander (JoAnne); ten grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Jackson Eads; a daughter, Donna Jo Sira; five brothers, Herbert, Joseph, James, Leonard, and George Alexander; and three sisters, Mable Ruth, Catherine Mae, and Doris Ann Alexander.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 Gourley Pike.
