Michael Bell

Mike Bell, 63, of Bloomington, died at I.U.Health Bloomington Hospital tuesday morning following an extended illness. Born April 18, 1948 in Bloomington, the son of Mike Bell and Roxie (Porter) Bell. Mike had been employed at Indiana University as a painter before retiring due to health problems. Mike and his wife Donna enjoyed camping, boating, flower gardening, the kids and were foster parents to several children and Mike was a great cook, which the whole family enjoyed. He will be greatly missed by all the friends, relatives and co-workers at I.U. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Quillen) Bell; his mother, Roxie (Porter) Bell of Bloomington; 2 sons Greg (Barry) Bell, Nathan (Andrea) Bell of bloomington; 2 daughters, Shelly (Ian) Baumgartner and Lisa (David) VanDeventer both of Bloomington; 3 brothers; Eddie (Bonnie) Bell of Bloomington, Jacki (Charlotte) Bell of Ellettsville and David Bell of Sardis, TN; 1 sister, Beverly Harding of Ormond Beach, FL 10 grandchildren and several foster grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Mike Bell; a son, William Bell and a sister in law Debbie Bell. Funeral Services will be at Deremiah Frye Mortuary Chapel Saturday at 10am with Pastor Don Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens with military graveside rites by the Veterans Memorial Squad.
