

Warren Forest “Squeak” McCauley, Sr., age 94, of Bloomington died Saturday afternoon at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born May 25, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Raymond and Margaret (Webb) McCauley. He retired from CW transport in 1982 after 25 years of service and then became a self-employed dump truck driver and was still driving past the age of 80 years old. He was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his children; Warren F. “Sonny” McCauley, Jr., of Ft. Wayne, Marguerite (John) McCauley-Collins of Bloomington, Crisann Perry, of Bloomington, Connie Bartlett of Springville, Joyce (Gary) Thomas, of Smithville and Darlene (Thomas) East of Heltonville, Paula (Virgil) Lewis, of Valparaiso, Robert (Nancy) Mullis of Bloomington and Danny Mullis of Bloomington, nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche (Mathis) McCauley on April 25, 2007; two sons, Paul Keith Mullis and Gregory Scott Mullis, one daughter, Kathy Sue Mullis, one son-in-law, Homer Perry and one daughter-in-law, Donna Mullis.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary; 700 W. Gourley Pike with Pastor Perry East officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
