

William E. “Bill” Crohn died peacefully on January 20, 2018 in I.U. Health Hospice House. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomington, born to the late William and Beatrice (Hasler) Crohn on June 10, 1928.
Bill grew up on a farm where he developed a strong love for animals. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, gardening, yard work, John Wayne westerns and loved being with his family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles for many years.
Bill married the love of his life Mary Anna Weaver. Bill and Mary were married for 62 ½ yrs. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2011.
Bill is survived by his three daughters: Sherry Runyon of Bloomington, Margaret (husband Michael) Kearney of Lafayette, IN, and Pamela Hawkins of Spencer.
He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Travis, Marcus, Mindy (husband Dave) and Jonathon, 8 great-grandchildren: Aleecia, Anastasia, Sean “JR”, Jessica, Cori, Michael, McKenzie and Connor, and 5 great-great-grandchildren: Jack, Taylor, Henry, Jaxon and Bently.
Bill was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Gene Crohn, his sister Rosanna Messemer, his grandson Carl Runyon and granddaughter Angela Holder, sons-in-law Richard Maywhere, Mark Klass, Jim Runyon and Dennis Hawkins.
Visitation for Bill will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. with a 2 hour visitation from 12 noon until time of service. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery.
