Ada Vega was born in Yara Oriente, Cuba. She was the oldest of eight children. Ada was a teacher and a seamstress in Cuba. She loved to knit, sew, and was an embroider. Ada's parents are decedents of Cuba and Spain. She married Rafael Vega and together they had 4 children, Adita, Belkis, and their two twin sons Rafael and Ricardo. In 1971, they moved to the United States and lived in Boston, Massachusetts for 20 years. It was very hard for them to adjust in a new country where they did not speak the language, but they survived. Ada worked in the textile factory as a seamstress for many years until she retired with her husband in Boca Raton, Fl. Ada and Rafael were amazing grandparents to 13 grandchildren and great grandparents to one. Ada enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and taking walks through her neighborhood. She loved attending church and also going shopping. Ada was not a picky eater, she loved everything especially desserts and coffee. She would read prayers from the Bible everyday and didn't go a day without praying for her family. Ada is now with her beloved husband Rafael and the Lord Jesus. Ada was tremendously loved by her family and will forever be remembered and missed.
