he was my grand father and I remember when i was young helping him walk when he hurt his hip and I loved his cooking

I'd like to send my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Albert, an outstanding Dad and husband.... He touched so many people's lives, and I know we are all enriched by it.

I will always remembered the day he told me I was his 8th daughter... He just wanted to make me feel welcomed in his family. I wish I would have told him that  I would have been blessed with a Dad like him. I will always remember him... And although I can't find words of comfort that can feel the void in your heart, just know I have you all in my prayers.

Although I only met and spoke to your father, and husband, a few times, he was a man of very few words.  But despite his lack of words, he always conveyed to me what he was feeling or wanted to say.  Whether it was his sense of pride and admiration for his children and all of their accomplishments or merely an upset stomach from eating far too many of your mother's homemade desserts, I could see it in his eyes or in a subtle gesture he made.  He truly exemplified the meaning of the word "father".  I wish I could have had the opportunity to spend more time with him just to watch and listen.  I am certain he was an encyclopedia of stories about his life that would keep even my wildest son fixated on every word he said. I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss that anyone that never had the fortune of meeting him has.  I consider myself one of the lucky ones to have met and spoke with him.  Wherever he is now, I am certain that he will always be looking down on your family with a huge smile across his face and a rumbling tummy from the lack of your mom's desserts.

Our shared grandchildren have wonderful memories of their beloved PopPop to treasure forever.  He brought them so much fun and joy.  The distance in miles was easily traveled on their Facetime visits and they will miss those special times they shared.  What a wonderful grandfather he will always be in their unique memories.
