

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alvaro Roa, who died peacefully on December 17, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born on July 3, 1943, in Bogotá, Colombia, to a loving family and spent his life surrounded by those who cherished him.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Alvaro leaves behind his beloved wife, Gloria, five children, Jesus, Cynthia, Erich, Tatiana and Alvarito, and a growing legacy of grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was a cornerstone of his family, always putting them first and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and laughter.
A passionate soccer fan, Alvaro was a lifelong supporter of Santa Fe soccer team, finding joy in both watching and playing the game. His enthusiasm for soccer was matched only by his love of travel, reading, and telling jokes that kept those around him entertained. He was a man of wit and wisdom, with a heart as big as his smile.
Above all, Alvaro was known for his unwavering devotion to his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was a quiet afternoon or an adventurous trip. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
