It's been 3 years. Yesterday was a blur, and I forgot to post on here. We visited you and Jimmy yesterday. After, we were all together to celebrate you. The rain kept us from setting off most of the fireworks, but we were able to get a few done before it started raining too hard. The kids are all so grown, you would be amazed. We all miss you so much, and wish that you were still with us. I know that you are watching over us and sending your love from afar.  I love you and miss you always Mom xoxo

It's 2 years ago today that you left us. It has been a long time, yet short at the same time. I feel like you left just yesterday. i have never missed someone as much as i miss you. i thank you for coming and watching over me. i wish you could physically be at my birthdays, or my graduation, or even on my wedding day. i miss you :( it's been a year and 10 months. almost 2 years. i miss you.

It's 1 year ago today. It's been a difficult year. We all miss you so much, Dad visits you at the cemetery every week. Today we will all go to visit together. We hope you can feel our love and we hope you are watching over us. Aidan still speaks of you all the time, he will not forget his Grandma. He is growing up so quickly and you would be so proud of him, and all of your grandkids. It's 11 months today. We are quickly approaching one whole year without you. Aidan still talks about you every day, I am so happy that he still remembers his Grandma. We all miss you so much. I love you Mommy xoxo

It's been 4 months today. Time is marching on, and we all still miss you so much. Aidan finally lost that tooth a week before Halloween, so he was an authentic looking pirate as I predicted. He talks about you all the time. He knows you are in heaven, and he misses you so much. The upcoming holidays will be hard. I pray that you are looking over us. I hope you are at peace. It's 3 months ago today. Life goes on, but my mind is still constantly thinking of you. I miss you so much. Aidan talks about you all the time. His top tooth is almost ready to come out- he will look like a jack o'lantern for Halloween as I predicted. He decided to dress up as a pirate for his costume this year. The missing tooth will go perfect with it.

It's 2 months ago today that you went to heaven. It's no easier today than it was when we first lost you- there is a constant ache in our hearts for you. You never realized how loved you were when you were here, but I hope you know it now. 
Aidan speaks of you often. He misses you so much. He is in 1st grade now, and is growing up so fast. He is getting ready to lose the next 2 teeth on the top. I expect he will be our little Jack O'lantern for Halloween this year.
The days are long, yet time is passing quickly. I pray that you are at peace and watching over us. We will keep you in our hearts and minds forever, until we are together again.

I find myself still calling your name when I come home, you will always be here  in this house in my heart and my soul and my very being,  i've always loved you and I always will! And I thank God we had so many years together , I am truly a very lucky but better than that blessed  man. We have a remarkable family to show for this,  thank you. Your loving husband Mario!!!!!!

It's a month ago today that you went to heaven. We are trying so hard to adjust to life without you here. We miss you and love you so much Mommy. Our hearts are not complete without you. I hope you are having the reunion in heaven with all the family members that went before you. Kiss them hello from us. You are in our hearts always and forever.

Words cannot describe how much I miss you!

It's 2 weeks ago today that we laid you to rest. We are trying so hard to get used to the fact that you are no longer here with us, and it's been a very hard journey so far. I wasn't able to get up and speak at your  service, but I want to say all the things that I was thinking on that day. Here is what I would have said,  if I had been able that night:
 
Our mother was a one of a kind person. She was a typical Italian mom: very  involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She was the one that we  would always seek approval from. She was the one that we wanted  to share all of our triumphs with first. Most of all, she was the one  that we wanted to make proud.

Our mother was not always tactful in  her comments with us. She never sugar  coated things, and did not apologize for that. She always wanted the best  for us, and was always pure in her intentions to have us strive to  achieve all that we dreamed of, no matter what. She took pride in her  children, however, she would never compliment us to our faces, but we  would hear through the grapevine about her glowing comments about us. One  thing I will always regret is not having heard them directly. Many times over the past few weeks I have been told that I was a great daughter, and  that I was such a support to my Mom over the years, especially during those last weeks when she was in the hospital. It's true that I didn't miss a day, and it was my honor and  pleasure to be able to bring her whatever her heart desired for dinner  every night after work. I would do it over and over again forever if it  would have kept her with us. 

Our mother had many great loves in her life. First was her love of her family: Dad, her 3 children, her 5  grandchildren, her many friends and extended family. But a very close second was her love of shopping. She  loved her shopping trips to Ross. It was always I'll be just a few  minutes. It was usually a couple of hours! She loved to search through for bargains, and was always looking for presents for everyone for holidays, birthdays and special occasions. Truth be told, I would often find lots of great things while shopping with her.  She would always tell me, See? Shop with your mother and you will always find great things! She was definitely correct. I will forever associate her with Ross. We placed a Ross gift card  in her casket to take with her to heaven. She now has an unlimited balance to shop her heart out up there.
Mom's other great love was her animals. She fed any animal that came  to her door, whether cat, dog, duck, etc. Unfortunately, that led to  feeding possums, raccoons and frogs. LOL. It was always a menagerie at the  house, but she never would allow an animal to go hungry. I hope that all the pets that passed before her were waiting to greet her when she got to  heaven: Brandy the cocker spaniel, Butch the beagle, Amber the black kitten, Tommy the tomcat, Koala the Snowshoe cat, and Angel the cross-eyed kitty. She left behind Buttons the kitty and Sophie the dog. I know that  they miss her. We are taking care of them and they will remain with Dad for as long as they live, that is a promise we made to you on that last day.
 
Finally, last but not least, I want to specifically thank some special people that have gone above and beyond during this very hard time.
Aunt Maryann- for being with us that  grueling last 24 hours of Mom's life; for staying up with us all night in the hospital, standing sentry over us  while we grabbed sleep in fits and starts in between shifts sitting with Mom in ICU. We will be forever grateful for your love and support and being with us and with her in the end. 
Sam and Cynthia-  we know how hard it  was to return to that hospital after losing Andrew. Sam, we appreciate you being with us and helping us to  understand the medical jargon that was being thrown at us. We are thankful for your presence, and appreciate your support more than you can ever know. Cynthia, we appreciate all of the help in making the arrangements for Mom. Your presence at all of those appointments was such a comfort. Mom would have been very thankful for your assistance.
Maureen and Bob- you both were there for Mom the entire time during her illness. We consider you both as members of our family, and continue to be thankful for your presence at the hospital that last morning. Mom always said she thanked God for friends like you, and she was right in that statement. 
Jen- thank you for being with us when Mom passed. We know that it was hard to witness, especially since losing your brother Jason less than a year ago. Your presence was a comfort to all of us. 
Joy- for coming over to the hospital at 1 in the morning to see Mom, and to see us. It was greatly appreciated.
Diane and Ida- you came to the  hospital and sat with Anthony and I when mom was having her brain biopsy, and we appreciated having your support. 
Rosmira- Mom loved you, and appreciated all you did for her and for Sophie. Your presence at the hospital was greatly appreciated, I know she would have been happy to see you. 
Kathy- you gave a lovely eulogy at the funeral, and we thank you for your kind and loving words.  

I know that is not a complete listing of everyone to thank, but these are the ones that stand out in my mind right now. 

Last but not least, I miss you Mommy, more than you ever could know. Aidan asks for you all the time, and he misses you too.  I'll love you and miss you forever.

Dear Mario, Nicole, Mark, Anthony, Melissa and Stephanie, we are so deeply sorry for your loss. I have the fondest memories of mom and I since we were little kids waiting for Santa to arrive. Through our grown up years we had so many good times and Lucy and Ethel escapades.  She is pain free and at peace with God and our family. She truly will be missed by all of us. Rest in Peace Dear Cousin. You will always be remembered and loved by all of us.

To Mario and the entire Riccardo family you have my deepest condolences for your loss. You guys have been friends of our family for more than 30 years since you worked with my father and I have fond memories of you and Angie coming over our house and filling it with laughter, especially Angie. You were always there for us Mario and of course we are now here for you, always and forever.

To the Riccardo family, my family and I were so sorry to hear about Angela. She was such a loving and giving person. There is now a beautiful angel in heaven. I am so sorry that I couldn't be there for the funeral, but you have my deepest sympathies.

You are all in my thoughts during this sad and difficult time, with my deepest sympathies & love.

Mario and all the Riccardo family, Words can not express the loss we are all going through with this terrible loss of Angela.....She was an amazing wife,mother,grandmother and friend.....She will truly be miissed. Angela joins all our other beautiful angels. I will miss her forever.....

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  RIP sweet Angela.  Very sorry I could not come down in person.  You were all a wonderful support network for her.

To the Riccardo Family.... My deepest condolences to this beautiful family.  I am so deeply saddened...I have known Angie for many years.  We shared many laughs and many sad moments in our lives.  Angela was a wonderful, sweet and loving woman who deeply loved her family. Her heart was so pure and gentle....when Angie and I went out for dinner, we laughed until our sides hurt.  She had such a wonderful sense of humor.  I know that you are in the arms of the Lord now....your pain is over...the pain that is felt now is the loss of your presence by those who love you....your spirit will continue to live through Mario, the love of your life and you his, the one and only love of his life, your beautiful children and grandchildren....family and friends....you will be sorely missed by all. Angela always will be our "angel" as she has been to me and many others. We met through a group of classic custom car friends over 15 yrs ago and shared many weekly gatherings and outings over the years. Our Boca group was called "Kruz' N Klick of South Florida"! I will always remember her as a kind, loving friend who enjoyed life and who everyone loved ! I will miss you!  "TJ"

Angela has been a dear friend for 40 years plus. We met in Brooklyn, NYC where everyone  knows your name. We have shared many highlights and fun of life and some difficult ones. We prayed together, cried together and some how we managed to lean on each other and get through. We shopped together, got our nails done, and of course always made time for lunch. Angela, introduced me to Ross where she loved to shop for the bargains. We had a ball. Angela was a wonderful gal to know and spend time with. Angela went through a difficult time and was stronger than anyone could think she would be. She was a tough cookie. I am very proud and blessed to friendship with her, share time with her, laugh with her, cry with her, and enjoyed each time I visited her during her illness.it was my pleasure to help make her smile. Angela will be missed dearly by me and my husband Bob. All those who know her are sadden deeply by her passing.
