

Carmine Edward Guastafeste, son of Sicilian immigrants, Anna and Carmine Guastafeste was born on July 27, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the eldest of 3 brothers, all talented musicians. He loved music, especially jazz, Latin, and Big Band. He spent much of his teenage years going to jazz clubs in NYC, and playing with them. His stage name was Eddie Carmen. He played for the USO entertaining our military during WW II. After the war he married his teenage sweetheart, Rosina DeMarco in 1949. They were married 62 years. He had four children and 13 grandchildren. He built up a successful display manufacturing business which originated in Brooklyn, and later relocated to Miami. He was a successful, hardworking, family man, devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, watching favorite movies, and especially loved football. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosina in 2010. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and again from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Entombment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, Pompano Beach, FL.
