Catherine R. McDermott, daughter of Catherine and William, was born on July 29, 1925. Cathy worked for the New York telephone company until she married her husband Harold and had 4 sons: Michael, Patrick, Daniel, and Richard. The family moved to Florida in 1963 where she retired as a dispatcher for FAU police department. Cathy then went and worked for Publix for the next 17 years and finally retired at the age of 87. Cathy was a loving, dedicated, and admirable woman. She lived for her family and spending time with them. Cathy passed away on Friday July 21, 2017 and is survived by her sons Daniel and Richard, granddaughters Ashley and Savannah, and grandsons Ricky and Shawn. She will be sorely missed as she was such a beautiful person inside and out.
